Several Networking For Future (NFF) team members recently volunteered at SOME (So Others Might Eat).  Kristy Creagh, Enisha Shrestha, Elliott Jones, and Josh Brush helped to bag groceries for the different homes that SOME supports in the area and delivers to once a week. “It is a humbling experience,” said NFF’s Human Resources Manager Kristy Creagh. “Companies are essential to creating meaningful change because they have resources governments and nonprofits do not.”

SOME  is an interfaith, community-based organization that exists to help the poor and homeless of our nation’s capital. They meet the immediate daily needs of the people they serve with food, clothing, and health care. They help break the cycle of homelessness by offering services, such as affordable housing, job training, addiction treatment, and counseling, to the poor, the elderly and individuals with mental illness. Each day, SOME is restoring hope and dignity one person at a time.

Over the next couple of months, NFF will coordinate multiple volunteer opportunities at SOME.
