WASHINGTON, July 26, 2023 – Networking For Future, Inc. (NFF), a Mid-Atlantic-based, performance-focused IT solutions provider, today shared that several members of the NFF leadership team presented at the West Virginia Statewide Technology Conference (WVSTC) annual conference.  https://wvstc.com/

The West Virginia Statewide Technology Conference is an event organized for West Virginia’s public sector and non-profit professionals who work with information technology in education and public service entities.   Attendees are primarily from K-12, Higher Education, State and Local Government, and non-profit organizations. The event features a technology Vendor Expo and attendance of hundreds of educators, IT staff, administrators, and directors. Concurrent sessions allow participants to learn, network, and gain insight into the latest education technology innovations. The conference provided a terrific opportunity for members to meet vendors like NFF and attend educational workshops, and network.

The NFF presentation entitled “Smart, Secure Technologies That Fuel the Future of Education” provided WVSTC members with a blueprint for how various smart technologies can enable their schools to work more efficiently and collaboratively on issues that are outside of any one department’s portfolio of responsibility and to make sure these smart solutions are secure from ransomware and other cyber security vulnerabilities.

Areas covered in-depth during the seminar included:

  • What is a Smart Campus and how it improves the student experience
  • How schools can leverage smart technologies and analytics to improve safety and security
  • Strategies for integrating smart campus IoT and OT solutions to improve cyber security risk mitigation and how NFF’s Security practice can help

“Installing, maintaining, and leveraging the actionable data from secured smart campus technologies to improve teaching and learning are huge challenges for K-20 educational institutions today. Our blueprint provides a robust, cost-effective path forward for all schools and does not require a large team or budget to install and maintain” commented Mike Cannon, Executive Advisor, Smart Technologies.
