WASHINGTON, April 2, 2019 – Following a national search, Networking For Future, Inc. today announced that industry veteran Chris Peabody has been appointed Chief Strategy Officer for Networking For Future (NFF) to expand strategic partnerships and drive continued growth for the information technology (IT) business solutions, professional services, and staff augmentation businesses.

Mr. Peabody is one of the Washington metropolitan areas most highly regarded IT business executives with over 34 years of experience in leadership roles driving market growth.  Before joining NFF, Peabody was the Vice President, Business Development for the state and local government and educational institution (SLED) markets at BroadSoft, which was acquired by Cisco in 2018.  He worked with partners across the country helping them close sales of BroadSoft/Cisco’s hosted unified communications platforms within the SLED verticals.

Prior to joining Broadsoft, Peabody was Chief Operating Officer at Executive Mosaic/Potomac Officers Club, a consortium of over 500 government contractors.  He was responsible for all three divisions of the business and lead the operations, sales, media, and human resources teams.

As the first Chief Operating Officer at Allied Telecom, Peabody and his team grew their customer base by 200% and revenues by 300% in three years and launched the Allied Telecom voice services program.

Peabody also held Deputy Chief Technology Officer positions for the District of Columbia government and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, where he was responsible for building their next-generation voice, data, and wireless network infrastructure and managing all associated programs and customer services.

In addition, Peabody worked for six years at Georgetown University where he was their first Director of Network and Communication Services.

Peabody started his career with Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) where he worked 15 years for in a series of operational, sales engineering, and technology sales roles.

Mr. Peabody received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology from Furman University.
