WASHINGTON, July 2, 2025 – Networking For Future, Inc. (NFF), a Mid-Atlantic-based, performance-focused IT solutions provider, announced today that it has been awarded a significant professional services contract to support a major wireless infrastructure upgrade for the Metropolitan Washington Area Airports Authority (MWAA). Under the terms of the contract, NFF will assess the current state of the Authority’s existing Corporate and Public Wi-Fi infrastructure and deliver a comprehensive, full-scale architecture and design and deployment roadmap for transitioning to next-generation Wi-Fi technology.
This strategic initiative underscores NFF’s continued commitment to delivering innovative, high-performance networking solutions that support mission-critical environments with a focus on security, scalability, and user experience.
NFF’s comprehensive Wi-Fi migration strategy will span more than twenty million square feet of coverage and will include all public and private buildings, associated structures, and outdoor areas at both Washington Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, as well as MWAA’s corporate headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.
As part of this strategic initiative, NFF will perform detailed site surveys, current state technology and infrastructure assessments, and deliver a validated design for their next-generation Wi-Fi solution. The project scope includes implementation plans, updated Wi-Fi heat maps, risk assessments, budgetary estimates, end-user training, and supporting documentation to ensure a seamless, secure, and high-performance wireless experience for both corporate operations and the traveling public.
Dulles Airport and Reagan National Airport had a combined 53.43 million passengers in 2024 — a record high for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. Both airports set individual records as well. Total passenger traffic at both airports combined was up 5.8% from 2023. Most of the increase was at Dulles, after gaining six new airlines and more flights last year.
Per Steve Hancock, Vice President of Sales Operations for NFF, “NFF has been a proud partner of MWAA for many years, and we deeply appreciate their continued confidence in our team. This is an extremely challenging yet critical initiative, and we’re honored to support it. The resulting solution will take a futuristic approach to Wi-Fi network design, enabling a robust, secure and scalable infrastructure that supports long-term business value creation while improving the passenger experience.”
