Network Infrastructure - Success Stories
- Census Bureau – NFF has been architecting, implementing and supporting critical enterprise solutions for the US Census Bureau, since 2003. Functional areas include: Agency Wide Information Security architecture utilizing Cisco and IronPort solutions, Agency Wide Video Tele-Conferencing (VTC) design and implementation utilizing Tandberg solutions, and Server Operations (Microsoft, Linux, VMware) Operational Support.
- DC Government – Designed, configured, and installed a Cisco Wireless LAN solution that allows the customer to provide secure wireless network for DC Government employees and contractors, internet access to visitors, monitor their network for rogue wireless devices which could potentially compromise their network, track those devices real time and centrally manage their entire wireless infrastructure.
- University of the District of Columbia – Implemented a Cisco Security Monitoring, Analysis and Response (MARS) solution. The project involved analysis and incorporations of UDC’s firewalls, routers, switches and IPS devices to the MARS appliance. NFF also provided training for UDC’s IT staff. Through a separate contract, NFF completed Design, Procurement, and Implementation of a Secured Wireless solution for deployment at the Patricia Roberts Harris Educational Center as part of the Workforce Development Program.
- DC Water – NFF has been awarded several contracts since year 2000 to assess, design, implement, project-manage, and support a Cisco based secured network infrastructure that spans DC Water’s Campus LAN and WAN. In addition, NFF has been providing server and critical applications support as well as help desk management services.
- Catholic University of America – NFF deployed a Cisco Application Control Engine to help the university ensure business continuity, accelerate application and server performance, and reduce data center power, space, and cooling needs.
- Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission – Multi-year contract for the architecture and implementation of network communications at WSSC (the seventh largest water and wastewater utility in the United States). Responsibilities include administration, engineering, architecture, project management, documentation, monitoring and troubleshooting of WSSC’s network infrastructure. NFF implemented a modern network architecture to support complex network solutions in support of their business to business unified communications requirements. Specific tasks include deployment of Cisco’s IDS/IPS, Cisco’s Virtual Switching Systems, Staging of Cisco’s Call Manager, Unity and IPCC solutions as well as upgrade of HP OpenView network management platform.
- SureScripts – The Nation’s largest E-prescription network, specializing in online prescription ordering. The implementation of Cisco NAC and Wireless LAN Controller systems helped them mitigate virus and malware-based security threats by monitoring the security protection on endpoint devices and enforcing security policies.
- The Phillips Collection – At the Phillips Collection, America's first museum of modern art, NFF deployed a Cisco Advanced Wireless solution across their entire network.
- Prince William Health system (PWHS) - Design and implementation of a redundant and self-healing wireless network for critical and non critical areas of the hospital with comprehensive mobility coverage and support of voice over wireless LAN solutions. NFF deployed next generation Cisco based infrastructure and “zero-downtime” methodologies to meet the hospital’s stringent operational requirements.
