Information Security - Success Stories

  • Metropolitan Police Department (DC MPD) –  NFF Engineers implemented MPD’s secure communication link to the US Secret Service's Multi-Agency Coordination Center (MACC) in Herndon, VA in support of the 55th Presidential Inauguration. These separate data paths were used to transport streaming video feeds from both MPD and from DC Government's Wireless Accelerated Responder Network (WARN), Naval Research Lab (NRL) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS). MPD and the Secret Service were able to monitor Inaugural activities from the ground with fixed cameras and roving vehicles, and in the air from helicopters provided by the US Capitol and US Park Police. Due to NFF’s efforts and technical design, as well as the unique collaboration between the District and Federal government, the 55th Presidential Inauguration took place under the most technologically advanced security umbrella in U.S. Inaugural history.
  • Census Bureau – NFF has been architecting, implementing and supporting critical enterprise solutions for the US Census Bureau. Functional areas include: Agency Wide Information Security architecture utilizing Cisco and IronPort solutions, Agency Wide Video Tele-Conferencing (VTC) design and implementation utilizing Tandberg solutions, and Server Operations (Microsoft, Linux, VMware) Operational Support.
  • CSSI Inc. – NFF incorporated their four sites located in DC, Maryland, and New Jersey using a centrally managed unified communications network. NFF proposed a Network Infrastructure Optimization and Security as well as a Unified Communication Project. CSSI Inc. also expressed the importance of needing redundant security across all four sites. In addition to the Network Infrastructure optimization and security deployments, CSSI Inc employed NFF to design a new Unified Communication solution for two out of the four sites. NFF provided a highly secure and optimal infrastructure to CSSI Inc. to keep up with its growing contract base so each of CSSI’s clients can be certain that they are in good hands from the ground up.
  • SureScripts – The Nation’s largest E-prescription network, specializing in online prescription ordering. The implementation of Cisco NAC and Wireless LAN Controller systems helped them mitigating virus and malware-based security threats by monitoring the security protection on endpoint devices and enforcing security policies.
